Meet the Therapist

Kelly Fox, LMT

Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in Advanced Therapeutic Bodywork & Trauma-Informed Wellness

For more than 20 years, I have had the privilege of caring for people through many different seasons of life—helping them find greater comfort, movement, and ease within their bodies.

Throughout those years, one principle has remained at the heart of my work: we are more than a collection of muscles, joints, and symptoms.

The body is influenced by movement, posture, injury, and physiology, but also by the nervous system, our experiences, and the ways we adapt to stress over time. My work, therefore, has never been about simply addressing where something hurts. It begins with understanding the person in front of me and thoughtfully considering what may be contributing to what they are experiencing.

My appreciation for the connection between mind and body began to take shape early in my professional journey.

Prior to entering the field, I studied psychology and worked as an assistant adolescent addictions counselor. That experience gave me an early appreciation for human resilience and for the profound relationship between our emotional well-being, our sense of connection, and our capacity to heal and change.

In the summer of 2004, that understanding deepened during a two-week spiritual retreat in Bimini, Bahamas. While there, I received an extraordinary bodywork session that allowed me to experience, personally and profoundly, the relationship between the mind, nervous system, and physical body.

I returned home knowing that I wanted to explore that relationship more deeply.

In 2005, that search led me to the Green Mountain Institute for Integrative Therapy in the Algarve, Portugal, where I received an immersive education in anatomy and physiology, therapeutic technique, ethics, psychology of the body, emotional awareness, and somatic approaches to care.

My training included Swedish and therapeutic massage, neuromuscular and deep-tissue techniques, sports and pregnancy massage, craniosacral therapy, and somatic bodywork. Just as importantly, my education encouraged me to look beyond technique—to become curious about the person experiencing the symptoms.

That philosophy continues to guide my work today.

Over the two decades since, I have continued to study with clinicians, educators, and skilled practitioners across multiple disciplines, continually expanding my understanding of anatomy, physiology, fascia, pain science, movement, lymphatic function, recovery, and the nervous system.

I believe exceptional care requires both science and humanity.

Research continues to deepen our understanding of the remarkable ways the brain, nervous system, connective tissue, movement, stress, and lived experience interact. I bring that evolving knowledge into my practice while never losing sight of something equally important: every person deserves to feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for.

Some clients come to me because something hurts. Others are navigating longstanding tension, physical limitations, stress, recovery, or changes that have gradually affected their quality of life. And some simply recognize the value of caring for their body before discomfort becomes limitation.

Whatever brings someone through my door, my intention remains the same: to listen carefully, think critically, and create care that is responsive to the individual rather than confined to a predetermined formula.

There is also a quieter dimension to my philosophy of wellness. I believe deeply in the inherent wisdom and resilience of the human body, and in our capacity for meaningful change when given the right environment, support, and care. For me, healing has always involved more than the physical body alone—it encompasses mind, body, and soul.

It is one of the great privileges of my life that so many people have entrusted me with their care over the years—often allowing me to accompany them through many seasons of their lives and, in turn, sharing my work with the people they love.

I continue to approach that trust with gratitude, curiosity, and a commitment to learning.

Because after more than 20 years, I still believe the most meaningful therapeutic work begins with something remarkably simple:

seeing the whole person.

I hope our paths have the opportunity to cross.

Until then, may you be blessed with

Peace & Wellness,
Kelly 🕊
